Area:

The Republic of Poland is 690 km from east to west and 650 km from north to south. The total land area encompasses 312,680 sq km.

Borders:

  • The nothern border of Poland:
    • Russia (210 km),
    • Lithuania (104 km),
    • Baltic Sea (440 km, whole shore line wich isn't border: 788 km )

Climate:

Winter lasts about three months (December-February)in Poland, but can be so severe that in many northern regions temperatures drop to minus -30C. Snow remains in the mountains until Easter.
The summer months (June-August) in Poland are generally hot with temperatures often climbing beyond 30*C. The traditional "golden Polish autumn' is usually sunny and dry.
